Since 1990, RICO Hand Knits has been providing year round employment to nearly 1000 rice farmers' wives in Northern Thailand. Knitting together in the shade of their stilt houses, our RICO hand knit artisans bring you decades of skill. Your RICO purchase has greatly improved the quality of their lives, preserving the native traditions of these remote villagers, keeping families together and flourishing.
Sometimes it happens that you may find a stray grain of rice nestled in your knit; consider it a pearl of Good Luck!
You will always find a grain of RICO silver rice sewn into your knit as a reminder of the women you are supporting in their homes.
